Vaccines
Since January 2011 Lareb is responsible for the registration, evaluation of adverse side effects of vaccines used in the National Vaccination Program. This task, originally belonging to the National Institute for Health and Environment (RIVM), was assigned to Lareb. The direction, implementation and evaluation of the National Vaccination Program remains part of the RIVM.
For whom?
Providers (clinics, the Public Health Service, general practitioners and pediatricians), people who have received a vaccination themselves and parents of children participating in the national vaccination program, can report adverse effects of vaccines. Lareb also monitors the adverse effects of other vaccinations, such as the ‘influenza’-vaccination and travel vaccinations.
